Emigro.com allows you to write reviews of hotels, restaurants, services, nightclubs and tourist attractions so that other expats will be able to use the “wisdom of the crowds” if they plan to move to a particular country.

To write a review hover over the “Reviews” button on the top menu then click on the button “Submit a review

Now select the section that you want to write a review of, for example,  a review of a bar. Then select the category, this is the country where the bar is located. If you can’t find that particular country listed then use the “Rest of the World” category.

After you have selected your section and category you will then be presented with the following screen:

emireviews.jpg

1. Title – This is the name of the bar, hotel, restaurant or tourist attraction you want to review. For example, you would use the title “Eiffel Tower” if you were reviewing the Eiffel Tower.  You must fill in the title in order to be able to submit the review.

2. City – Input the city of the place you are reviewing here. For example, for “Eiffel Tower” you would enter “Paris”. If you’re unsure of the city then put the nearest city to it. You must fill in this section to submit the review

3. Address – if you know the address of the place you are reviewing then insert it here. This will help other users locate the place better.

4. Website Address – if the place you are reviewing has a website then list it here.

5. Recommended – Here you can recommend what types of people are likely to enjoy the place you are reviewing. Check each box that you think applies to the place. Obviously a bar will be less suited to babies and families with children than singles and couples.

Next, you can write the summary of the review and upload any relevant images. The summary of the place should be as objective and impartial as possible. You can give a more subjective and personal view in the later reviews section. This is so that others can add in their own thoughts on the place.

After you have filled in the information above you can then give your own personal review on the place. First, use the drop-down menus to rate the place you are reviewing out of ten. The higher the number – the more you like the place.

After this you can then leave your comments and opinions about the place. When you are happy with your review, enter the correct code and submit it to us. We will then publish the review for you after it has gone through a moderation process.

Did you know…? If you come across a review by someone else that you think will help you, you can actually add it to your profile page to look at later. Perfect if you are planning a trip or a move to a new country. Click the Add button when you’re on a review as seen in the picture below.
